The Vision

GYFC "We're about seeing young peoples lives changed by Jesus"

Through all that we do we aim to deliver high quality professional work with young people and their families being the focus of that work. As a Christian organisation we share our own stories of faith and seek to show people love and respect, so that they know that they are valuable, they are important and that we do care about them and their lives.  Through our work we hope that lives will be changed.

We will meet this many young people and parents through three main streams of work:

  1. Bridging the Gap – open access youth groups.

  2. Supporting Churches  -in their mission with young people.

  3. Focused Impact – courses, mentoring and support for referred and identified young people.

Bridging the Gap

These projects aim to build the bridge between young people, the community and the church. To this end we provide open access youth groups for young people who would not usually attend church and or are on the margins of society. We want these young people to feel accepted, valued and loved. We provide a safe and secure environment led by committed Christians, with opportunities to get more involved with our focused impact work.

Supporting Churches

Churches provide an environment where young people can be supported through discipleship and are able to have a positive impact and influence with young people. We aim to empower, resource and develop quality youth work in local churches through providing volunteers and youth work support.

Focused Impact

Through our focused impact sessions we aim to come alongside young people and their families and ‘do life’ with them so that their lives will be changed, one step at a time. We aim to provide a safe place for young people to open up and move forward. Through our focused impact sessions we build confidence and grow self worth.
