Steps 2 Success

Recognised by the Thames Gateway Business Awards 2009 with a Commendation, Steps 2 Success is a tool for engagement with young people that is flexible enough to be used whatever the need. Above all, it recognises    that the key factor for success is a tailored programme of education that assesses the needs of each enrolled young person, leads to agreed goals, an action plan and then effective support to ensure the young person achieves this.

This programme is about success for young people, an audit of need at the beginning, an entitlement agreement setting out clear expectations and ground rules, continuous monitoring of performance with encouragement and support, agreed outcomes and celebration of success.

GYFC has established a strong reputation working with the hard to reach, at risk young people out of our

Youth premises on the Ferrier Estate. We have a strong, stable team of practitioners who bring considerable expertise, experience and qualifications to the work. The Ferrier Estate is an area with multiple indicators of deprivation and is currently going through major upheaval with a massive regeneration programme.
