Girlz Thyme

Girlz Thyme is a weekly drop in for girls on the Ferrier Estate. Many of the girls that have come along have found this project to make a big difference in their lives. They have found it helpful to have the space to make deep friendships and talk through many issues. The girls particularly enjoy being creative. They spent a few weeks on a project working with a filmmaker on a project about this group. They have also had a makeover and fashion session.

Working with young people in this context takes time and trust. Girlz Thyme has been a very rewarding project to run as we have seen the girls knit together as they have been challenged to think and talk through many highs and lows in their lives
